Set up your home studio.
Record your music.
Keep it simple.
Overview
I help Kiwis set up humble or enthusiast home recording studios and feel more confident creating and recording music - without unnecessary complexity, pressure, or overspending.
Whether you're completely new to recording, returning to music after years away, or simply trying to make sense of the technology, I offer calm, practical support tailored to your goals and experience level.
"Thank you, Aaron for your expert and professional advice. You have already helped a lot and I appreciated your calm but enthusiastic approach. Really felt like you were on my side and wanting to help. There’s so much info out there about home studios it’s hard to know how to get started. You cut through all that with great practical advice. Thank you. No doubt you’ll be hearing more from me as I progress. Highly recommended."

You’re not alone.
Setting up a home studio can feel overwhelming. Between gear choices, software, online opinions, and conflicting advice, it’s easy to feel stuck before you even begin.
I help simplify the process with clear, practical guidance focused on what you actually need.
Whether you’re starting from scratch, trying to make better use of the equipment you already own, or wanting more confidence using recording software and audio gear, I’ll work alongside you step by step towards a setup that feels comfortable, achievable, and enjoyable to use.
My experience covers a wide range of recording setups and music styles, so I can adapt to different goals, budgets, and learning preferences. I’ve worked with experienced musicians and artists, but I especially enjoy helping people who are newer to recording, learning later in life, or reconnecting with music after time away.
Sessions are designed to be relaxed, practical, and free from unnecessary jargon.

Most sessions are held online via one-on-one video calls, allowing me to work with people throughout New Zealand.
The main thing you'll need is a good internet connection (fibre). If video calling is new to you, I can phone you at the start of our session and make the video call happen for us.
For people based near me on Auckland’s North Shore, in-person at your home sessions may also be available by arrangement.
"I highly recommend Aaron for the services and product choices he offers. I have had several sessions with him as he patiently worked with me to get a home recording studio up and running. He sourced the right materials and masterfully worked remotely to set them up with the right recording program to suit my needs. I look forward to future sessions with him to expand my knowledge and abilities. Many thanks Aaron."
